Correction Policy
Last Update: 03 Sep 2025
This Stage LA (hereinafter referred to as “This Stage LA” / “we” / “our”) is committed to its readers and outlines this correction policy to explain the steps we take to address any inaccurate information published on our website. We take our responsibility to our audience seriously and strive to correct and inform them as quickly as possible.
Basic Concept
We aim to deliver content based on the most complete and accurate information available to us at the time. If we identify any errors, we work to correct them promptly. This includes:
- Updating the content on our website.
- Sharing corrections or clarifications on social media platforms.
- Publishing an editor’s note when necessary, detailing the mistake and how it was fixed.
For significant errors that lead to misinformation, we offer a sincere apology to our readers.
Updating Reports
When a story is updated or corrected, we add a note to inform readers of the change.
- For important errors or new updates, we include a bold note like:
[Correction: updated information] at the top of the story, explaining the changes made. - Readers can also suggest corrections by emailing us at [email protected] or using the “Suggest A Correction” option provided below each story.
Improvement
If we make a substantial correction to an article, photo caption, headline, graphic, video, or other content, we promptly publish a prominent correction notice explaining the reason for the change.
Clarification
If our reporting is factually correct but the language lacks clarity or context, we refine the wording and add necessary details. This also applies if we later include a comment or response that was initially omitted.
Editor’s Notes
For corrections that challenge the integrity of an entire article or raise significant ethical concerns, we add an editor’s note approved by a senior editor, outlining the issue and resolution.
Other Reform Policies
- If a reader highlights a mistake in the comments section, our team can address it there.
- On social media, we correct or remove inaccurate information as soon as it’s identified.
- We do not hold individual reporters or editors accountable for errors.
Reporting of Mistakes
If you notice an error in any content, you can inform us via the “Suggest A Correction” feature or by emailing us directly at [email protected].
Take-down Requests
- We generally do not honor take-down requests.
- If the accuracy of a story is disputed, we investigate and publish corrections when needed.
- We may update or follow up on previous coverage if appropriate but will not remove the entire story.
- Take-down requests for publicly available personal information are only considered in cases involving a physical threat to an individual.
