LA STAGE Alliance Announces a Series of Community Forums through February and March
LA STAGE Alliance is traveling to neighborhoods throughout the city for LOOKING FORWARD, a series of six community forums taking place in February and March, to discuss the challenges and possibilities of making art in Los Angeles.
As articulated by Executive Director Steven Leigh Morris in an article on @ This Stage, LA STAGE Alliance has ambitious plans for meeting the challenges of real estate, diversity, youth engagement and mobility across the city. The organization is now calling on the community to voice the issues that theatre companies are grappling with in the region.
These forums will pose the following questions to the Greater LA theatre community:
What are the most immediate challenges facing your organization?
What are the long-term challenges?
What are the programs already available to meet those challenges?
If you could have everything you need, how do you envision Los Angeles in February, 2021?
In order to facilitate the most fruitful discussion, LA STAGE Alliance will keep these forums intimate — only a limited number of places are available for each forum, so it’s recommended to RSVP early.
